"If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, YOU are a leader."- John Quincy Adams
LEADERS ARE NEITHER BORN NOR MADE. THEY BECOME
There is a common belief that leaders are born with special skills or abilities to lead. High-Definition leadership suggests that there is a process that successful leaders follow - consciously or subconsciously. This process guides their success. Succinctly put, they rise up higher and look out further. With the High Definition Leadership Pyramism® I have deconstructed this leadership process to its core components in order to light the pathway to increase your personal leadership ability.
Many people believe that to be a leader one must have followers. My view is that leadership is developed individually - one becomes a leader. As an outgrowth of your leadership development, others will join your cause. Followers do not a leader make, however, leaders attract the resources they need in order to be successful. These resources show up in two basic forms people and money. High-Definition Leadership outlines faculties of leadership to which everyone can aspire. It is not confined to the realm of boardrooms, political offices or team sports. It is the domain of those who lead with or without “followers”.
What is High-Definition Leadership?
High-Definition Leadership (HDL) has at its core crystal clear vision. This is a very different from the vision statement that one sees in most corporations. This is a vision for the future that is so real you can SEE it. However, the vision is not the starting point - but it is the difference between where you are and where you want to be. As we go through the leadership development process your vision will become clearer.
